First introduced in 1998, the Cadillac Escalade has evolved to become a standard of the American SUV market. Whether used to take the family out or pick a friend, the vast majority of Americans have spent some time on an escalator. Now in its fifth generation, the Cadillac Escalade 2021 arrives as the biggest success in the luxury SUV market.

      Cadillac Escalade Exterior

The first thing to notice in the Escalade is the daytime running lights and headlights, inspired by the stunning Escala concept and the smaller LED units that flow into the giant grille. Luxury/premium trim’s grille comes with a chrome finish. Sport/sport platinum trim’s grille comes with a black mesh grille. A hands-free power liftgate and panoramic sunroof differentiate the Escalade from its predecessors.
For the side of the Escalade, chrome extends separately on the second and third-row windows with a single piece of shiny metallic. 22-inch wheels are standard. Vertical taillights in the rear form visual buttresses to frame the liftgate. Mirror folded diagonals surround the license plate. The bumper is plain, with reflectors and exhaust stacked tidily at the outside corners. The 2021 Escalade’s curb weight ranges from 2433.5kgs for the rear-wheel-drive Cadillac to 2718kgs for the 4-wheel drive Cadillac. Length is at 538.2cm, height at 194.8cm, wheelbase at 307cm, and max-width at 206cm. Exterior colors include the sinister dark raven, metallics include satin steel, shadow, sandstone, dark moon blue, and dark mocha, infrared raincoat, and crystal white tin coat.

      Cadillac Escalade Pros and Cons

Every car has its goods and flaws but for the 2021 Escalade, the pros are the styling that comes from the Escala concept, the ultra-luxurious high-tech cabin, the more passenger and cargo space, the improved ride quality, and the impressive range of driver-assist technologies. The major cons of the 2021 Escalade are its massive size that makes it tricky in tight spots. It is also expensive with a V8 engine that is thirsty, and is missing a few features found in rivals.
