Since 2018, the MG HS has been made by Chinese manufacturer SAIC Motor under the MG brand. The MG HS received a makeover for the 2021 model year.

The front of the MG HS 2021 has a grille with a centered MG emblem, a body-colored front bumper, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and front fog lights.
