BMW M4 2023 Review and Prices in KSA

The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the 4 series developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, and marketed since 2014 in its 1st generation, and the 2nd generation in 2021. The 2023 model of the M4 is in its 2nd generation and it comes in 5 trims: CSL, Competition, Competition M xDrive, M4, and Competition Convertible with M xDrive. It is powered by a 3.0L twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine, and it represents the coupe model of the M3.

      BMW M4 Exterior

The BMW M4 2023 has a frameless kidney grille that shocked the world. It’s the same grille I talked about in the BMW M3 2023 review (you shall check it out). If you look at the car’s front end, you’ll think that it’s ugly. However, if you’re planning to buy this car but you’re hesitant because of its look, you shall check it out live. You’ll discover how beautiful and aggressive it looks that you’ll immediately want to have it so bad, and trust me when I say this. You’ll fall in love with the M laser lights that have this black shadow inside them. The car is literally so mean and powerful, and it really presents this aggressive identity of the BMW. It stands out among its competitors with its design. You can have the carbon fiber accents that decorate the exterior from every side; the side skirts, the front vents, the front splitter, the rear spoiler, the mirror caps… The sides wear 18, 19, or 20-inch beautifully designed rims. Their size depend on the trim you choose. The CSL trim is the most aggressive as the red accents beautify the car and make it even more aggressive. Some trims also come with black hood vents. The rear comes with quad exhaust tips that will sing to you the symphony of the engine.

      BMW M4 Interior

The BMW M4 2023 comes with standard with M carbon bucket seats, a multifunctional M carbon steering wheel, a push-button start, a full cloth headliner, an illuminated glovebox, front and rear center armrests, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a retractable soft top for the convertible options, floor mats, and dual-zone automatic air conditioning with air filtering and AC vents are also standard interior features. Carbon fiber also decorates the interior and give you the feeling you need when you’re in a sports car. Red accents also decorate higher trims for more sportiness. However, the fun really lies inside the infotainment system and the driving modes and systems, and I’ll tell you why in the following.

      BMW M4 Technology and Infotainment

The BMW M4 2023 has a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, an M-specific instrument cluster, an M-specific Head-Up Display, Apple CarPlay, a navigation system, Bluetooth, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Inside the screen, you’ll find the systems that will make you confused, but with time, you’ll get used to them. They’re there to teach you how to have fun with your BMW M4. I’m talking about a system that records your lap time when you’re on track, a system that rates your drift (yes, it rates your performance), the fun multiple driving modes, among of which is the individual mode. The latter enables you to adjust the car’s behavior as you exactly want. I’m not talking about any individual driving mode; I’m talking about the one in the BMW M4. You’ll be able to specify how much you want the car to contribute in your driving experience. I mean by that how much you want your car to interfere and help you in handling it. If you want, you can choose to make your car completely under your control, and I suggest this when you’re really a professional or experienced driver. On the other hand, you can adjust the driving mode in a way that your car helps you handle it when driving or drifting; in other words, you can have fun while driving it easily even when you’re not an expert because it will help you to keep things under control.

      BMW M4 Engine Specifications

A 3.0L twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine powers the BMW M4 2023 with 480hp, 510hp, or 551hp respectively with 550Nm or 650Nm of torque, connected to a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission and RWD or 4WD drivetrain. 0 to 100km/h time is between 4.2sec and 3.5sec and top speed is between 250km/h and 307km/h. The drivetrain depends on the trim, as well as the power. xDrive is the BMW AWD system.

BMW M4 Safety and Driver Assistance

Some of the safety and driver assistance features in the BMW M4 2023 include a speed limit monitor, automatic braking system, driver alert system, blind-spot detection system, electronic stability program, anti-slip regulation, dynamic stability control, emergency brake assist, antilock braking system, and electronic brakeforce distribution. There is also Lane Departure Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and Parking Assist.

Why Should You Buy a BMW M4 2023?

BMW produces some of the most thrilling luxury sports coupes and sedans on the market, with the M4 being a prime example. It struts around with muscular looks and a polarizing grille, and it's powerful, capable, and loud. The M4 is a soul-satisfying high-power thrill ride regardless of configuration, but it falls a few details short of being the perfect M car. This car is made for pure thrilling driving experience. It’s the right choice for you when you want to experience the real adrenaline rush. It’s made for fun, for people who want to enjoy what the real driving experience is.

      BMW M4 2022 vs BMW M4 2023

No changes were made to the 2023 model of the BMW M4. It came with the same features as the 2022 model.

BMW M4 Comparison between Trims and Models

There are major differences between the BMW M4 trims. There’s the standard M4, but shall we really call it “standard’? It’s not really standard as it has the power, the muscular looks, the very many M sporty systems, and the sporty interior. There’s the higher M4 Competition, and it comes with more power, more carbon fiber accents, sportier looks, and some better features. Then comes the CSL, which is the most aggressive, most powerful, and the sportiest. It’s simply the most track focused in all means. If you want a trim that tends to be more of a daily driver, you can go for the M4 or the M4 Competition, and I suggest the first. Higher trims come with bigger rims. I’ve seen reviews where users said that the M4 or the M4 Competition are good sporty daily drivers. However, if you want a car that is track-focused and have a pure sports DNA, you can go for the CSL. Thus, trims differ with power, some sporty look features, and rims size. Some features differ depending on the dealer. By the way, the M4 is one of those sporty cars that save the manual gear, so you can have this as an option and it’s what gives you the real sporty feels and reminds you what a BMW M is.

      BMW M4 Pros and Cons

The pros of a BMW M4 2023 are performance, handling, and manual gear option. The cons of a BMW M4 2023 are the price and steering feedback.
