Toyota FJ Cruiser 2021 Review
The Toyota FJ Cruiser is a compact SUV that premiered as a concept car at the 2003 Chicago Auto Show before debuting at the North American International Auto Show in its final production design and hitting the market as a 2007 model. The vehicle has a classic design that pays homage to the 1960s FJ40.
FJ Cruiser Exterior
The FJ Cruiser has a strong appearance with fenders that emphasize the solid structure of the body and reduce the impact of shocks off-road. It also has two stylish doors, as well as a unique tailgate that allows easy load. It is available with 17-inch aluminum wheels, halogen headlights and fog lights. A front skid plate, electric side mirrors, silver-tone side stripe, door sills, rear tow hook and spare wheel are also there.
FJ Cruiser Interior
The spacious cabin ensures practicality to suit your road adventures and seats five passengers, with a comfortable and easy-to-use design, and hues that work well with the exterior colors. It is available with fabric seats, manual driver seat height control, armrest for the driver and another for the front passenger. In addition to a leather-wrapped steering wheel with control keys, and mirror sun visors for the driver and front passenger, there are three adjustable headrests in the back, with the ability to adjust the rear seats, while the seats and floor are covered with rubber for more durability and easier removal of dirt and water.
FJ Cruiser Technology and Infotainment
Features include a radio/ CD player, Bluetooth, AUX, USB, and a JBL audio system with 10 speakers distributed throughout the car, including a subwoofer, in addition to a manual air conditioner, and a self-dimming rearview mirror.

The Toyota FJ Cruiser maintains the same specifications as the previous year's model, with the unchanged classic, iconic design, the powerful engine that provides terrific off-road performance, and the cabin has not received any significant modifications.
FJ Cruiser Comparison in Trims and Models
The engine and transmission are the same across all FJ Cruiser trims, but the lower models lack an additional fuel tank and have a tank capacity of 72 liters rather than 159 liters for the higher model, as well as the rear differential lock, Crawl Control, and front skid plate. In addition to temperature, compass, and tilt gauges, the top trim's cabin features some luxury leather touches.
As for safety features, higher models get side and curtain airbags, cruise control, rear sensors and a rear camera with a screen in the interior mirror, with Active Traction Control (A-TRC) and an internal tire inflator.
Toyota FJ Cruiser Pros and Cons
In addition to its appealing looks, the FJ Cruiser provides impressive off-road performance and ensures the highest standards of safety. However, it has some drawbacks, including numerous blind spots and poor visibility inside the vehicle, difficult-to-reach rear seats, and mediocre fuel economy.
